Pet Obesity

Did you know that giving your dog a dog treat (a 20 lb dog, for example) is equivalent to you consuming a hamburger? It’s true!  Pet obesity is a problem facing many of our pets.  Even a few extra pounds can lead to health complications down the road for your pet.  Unsure if your pet is obese?  Here are a few signs:

1.  Unable to see or feel rib cage of your pet as he is standing in place.

2.  Does he enjoy physical activities less or become fatigued easily?

3.  Have you noticed difficulty with mobility (aside from age-related issues)?

If you are noticing any of these signs, please give us a call–we can help come up with an exercise and food plan that will meet your pet’s unique health needs.
